Deanna Furtney
Deanna is a graduate in Fine Arts from the University of Southern California; she has taught art at all levels from kindergarten through high school.  Currently she paints using many mediums and had joined her landscaping and gardening skills to include "yard art".  You can see examples of her work and that of the customers with Human Resource Program at the Center.

Nannette Klass was born and raised in Los Angeles and studied at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena where she earned a BFA with honors. She has also studied with many renowned artists, including most recently Holly Roberts. Nannette is known for her painterly representational style but is always exploring her next creative journey. Nannette now paints in an ‘intuitive’ style embracing ‘critical thinking’. Nannette is schooled in many mediums and is very excited to work with creative minds at the Center for Creativity.
George Allen Durkee
George is a San Francisco street artist turned Northern California landscape painter. He is co-owner of The Art Gallery in Murphys, located in Murphys, California.  Durkee has been a contributing writer for The Artist’s Magazine and American Artist and is author of Expressive Oil Painting - An Open Air Approach to Creative Landscapes.
Sharon Armstrong (Artist Sharon Strong)
Sharon is an artist, clinical psychologist, co-owner of The Art Gallery in Murphys, California and author of Soul Unmasked, A Personal Journey into the Ritual of the Mask. She has taught young children as well as Masters level psychology students. What she loves is to teach creativity in a small community of artists through the art of mask making. Her latest project is The Center for Creativity and Community in San Andreas, California.
Conal Elliott & Holly Croydon, Awakening Compassion
Conal and Holly have been students and practioners of nonviolent communication (NVC), also called "compassionate communication".  NVC is a consciousness and small set of inner and outer practices designed to nurture compassion in ourselves and others by how we speak and listen.  Leaving behind a successful practice in Seattle, Conal and Holly have renewed their efforts in Calaveras County. Ruth Nichols
Ruth will offer ongoing classes in Tai Chi Chuan and Quigong to the Mother Lode Community.  Beginning in 1995, Ruth studied directly with Master (Sifu) Yuen Wen, currently of Stockton. Since 2005, she has taught young and old alike, to experience the benefits of moving energy through the body, fostering a focused, restful mind.  Ruth is also a musician and Registered Nurse.
Jeanine Rutherford
Jeanine will teach beginning guitar, songwriting and drum circle. She has played professionally in a Celtic band and plays highland bagpipes, guitar, drums, mandolin and ukelele.
Black Eagle, Shoshone-Yokut Warrior Artist
Black Eagle is an American Indian artist with a lifelong love of art, which has become a natural expression of his life. Born in Elko, Nevada, Black Eagle grew up living, hunting, and learning from the deep forests of the Sierra Nevada. Black Eagle take great pride in designing and creating original Shonshone artifacts and warrior spirit masks, using traditional techniques and materials, including native tanned hides, sinew, bone, and other natural matter.
